Chip stocks surge as markets brush off Iran tensions; Big Tech earnings ahead

The S&P 500 gained 0.6% while the Dow moved up 0.5% after stocks slipped on Monday amid rising US-Iran tensions. The Nasdaq Composite jumped 1% as semiconductor names took center stage ahead of Big Tech results this week. Tech optimism helped offset uncertainty surrounding US trade policy and the war in Iran.
