Tech Powers Stocks Higher as Softer Jobs Report Takes Heat Off Fed

The Dow rose 0.5%, the S&P 500 gained 0.7%, while the Nasdaq rose 1.2%, as a slowdown in the US jobs market drove stocks higher on speculation the Federal Reserve won't be forced to lift rates any time soon. Nvidia reached a new all-time intraday high of $237.88, pushing its market capitalization past $5.7 trillion as investors continued to pile into AI.

What to Watch

→ Will yields hold above 5.25% overnight, or does the softer labor data push them lower into Monday trading?

→ Fed speakers next week—watch for any hawkish commentary that could reverse today's rate-cut pricing.

→ Oil supply dynamics: Confirmation of OPEC+ production plans and any escalation in Middle East tensions remain wild cards.
